Ken Partyka Saxophone

Saxophonist Ken Partyka has been active in the music business for close to twenty years. He has performed with such luminaries as The Temptations, Frankie Vallie, The Spinners and Mel Torme, and has worked for the Walt Disney Company.

As a member of various groups, Ken has seen the stages of the Chicago, Elkhart and South Shore Jazz Festivals, as well as the prestigious New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. His playing and arranging can be heard on numerous private and commercial recordings, most notably with the band Sonia Dada, with whom he also toured.

Currently, he can be heard playing with some of the finest big bands in Chicago, the acclaimed Bradley Young Orchestra, with whom he has been playing for over ten years and the New Standard Quartet.

In addition to his performing, Ken also maintains a small studio of private students and is an active clinician, having appeared as a guest artist with numerous junior high, high school and college bands.
